Seek the Lord in Strength, Beware of Pride | 2 Chronicles 26 — Nov 11, 2025

Description
Today on Reading the Bible Daily with Dave, we turn to 2 Chronicles 26 and the life of King Uzziah. Scripture presents him as a young king who sought the Lord and was marvelously helped by God. His reign was marked by strength, growth, and blessing. Yet when he became strong, his heart was lifted up in pride — leading him to overstep God's appointed boundaries and bring judgment upon himself. Uzziah's story is a sober reminder that prosperity is a gift from the Lord, and pride is a danger that lurks especially in seasons of success. The God who blesses the humble also humbles the proud. True strength is not found in self-exaltation, but in reverent dependence on the Lord. "As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper." (2 Chronicles 26:5) May we seek the Lord faithfully, guard our hearts from pride, and finish well by walking in humility before our King.
